​​​​Scripps Theatre Arts is excited to announce auditions for Hadestown: Teen Edition!
Teens ages 13-19 are invited to audition.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or just starting out, we encourage actors of all levels of experience to audition.
Auditioning does not guarantee that you will be cast in this show.

To audition:
Prepare a one-minute song cut of your choice. Instrumental music ONLY - no lyrics and no acapella.

STA is a truly inclusive theatre and all performers are invited to join our productions.
​
Prior to the day of auditions:
1 - Register at (link to come)
2 - Take (and print) your headshot photo to bring to your audition
3 - Prepare for your song - accompaniment (karaoke) tracks only, no acapella, starting at the 60-second cut that you plan to sing. Download the song to your device BEFORE you arrive for your audition.
4 - Complete these two forms, completed, to your audition:

Audition Form: Hadestown Audition Form Be sure to enter all of your conflicts in this form. Conflict schedules are critical to the success of the production so be honest!

5 - Pay Participation Fee (due by the first rehearsal)

Audition Details
Rehearsals begin Saturday May 30, 2026
Rehearsals will generally be held Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 5:30-8:30pm
and Saturdays 10:00am-2:00pm
​
Rehearsal location: Scripps Ranch Theater at Alliant University​
Rehearsal on June 20th will be held at Jerabek Elementary in Scripps Ranch
Tech Week and Performances
Tech Week (at Scripps Ranch Theater): July 19-23, 2026
Performances (at Scripps Ranch Theater): July 24 - August 1, 2026
Participants may NOT miss any Tech Week rehearsal or performance
There is a $525 fee to participate, due by the first rehearsal. This fee goes towards the costs of licensing rights, set building, props and costumes.
