Audition for STA's Spring 2020 production of...
Based on the classic fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young woman who feels out of place in her provincial French village. When her father is imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle’s attempt to rescue him leads to her capture by the Beast, a grisly and fearsome monster, who was long ago trapped in his gruesome form by an enchantress. The only way for the Beast to become human once again is if he learns to love and be loved in return. Perform in classic songs like 'Be Our Guest', 'Home' and 'Gaston'.

List ALL conflicts on the registration form. Conflicts provided later will not be excused and may affect casting even after rehearsals have begun.

Sing a one-minute song cut of your choice. Bring INSTRUMENTAL music either on a CD or downloaded to an electronic device - NO ACAPELLA auditions will be allowed.

Not all actors are called for all rehearsals.

Bring water to rehearsals - NO SNACKS.

Cell phones are not allowed in the rehearsal area - keep them with your belongings.

Bring a quiet activity or homework to do during down time.

Tech Week and Performances
Tech Week (at Poway Center for the Performing Arts): April 26-30, 2020
Performances (at Poway Center for the Performing Arts): May 1-3, 2020
Participants may NOT miss any performance or Tech Week rehearsal
There is a $275 fee to participate, due at auditions. This fee goes towards the costs of licensing rights, set building, and costumes.
Parents are expected to volunteer in various capacities: set building, backstage assistance, ticket and concession sales, etc.
